Living Room, Kitchen and Dining Room, OH MY!

A month or so ago I decided to move all the old family room furniture into the living room.

This is what the living room looks like now. The chaise lounge is obviously way too big for the space but it will work fine here until we get a chance to move it downstairs.

I pulled all of the decorations from around the house {and from the basement.} I want to try to reuse as many accessories as possible.

{ this weekend we bought this chair }

While putting the room together I decided to make a purchase!

I purchased these curtains for the living room.

Silk Paisley Window Panel

I love these curtains. I hope they work well with the furniture I already have.

Oh and that wall color is changing. Daniel and I narrowed it down to 3 colors.

When we first bought our house we measured our french door blinds incorrectly. We couldn't screw them in without cracking the glass door. Talk about a $300 oopsie. About 2 years ago I had the bright idea of using 3M tape. It says it can hold up to 5lbs! It held for almost 2 years but the french door blind (the one in motion) just fell off. Ok, no biggie, just go and buy another $5 roll of 3M tape. This time the tape only held up for maybe 4 days. Sad, this meant that I either needed to order more blinds (super expensive) or figure out another solution...

I ended up buying a set of curtains for the kitchen french doors.

Ikat Ogee Linen Window Panel

I hope the curtains don't look funny next to french doors. I figure I can attach and tie them back when we need to go in and out of the door.

Eventually when the dining room is finished I want to purchase these curtains in the gray color.
Firenze Embroidered Panel

These panels are extremely expensive and I can only justify paying the price because 1) I love them and 2) it is for a dining room. Other than that there is NO way I would pay that much for curtains.

I'm excited to share the demo progress later this week...The laundry room is completely demolished!

Have a great Monday!
